Housing Directorate of Pakistan Navy, Islamabad is looking for dynamic, qualified and experienced individuals to work as:

 

1.    Civil Engineer – Land Development

 

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification in a relevant subject and Five (5) or more years of relevant experience in Civil Engineering focused on large residential site development & management with a PE a plus. He/she should be familiar with construction methods & materials and, has a clear understanding of Building Regulations and other legal guidelines, budget handling & organizational skills. Possess excellent communication & negotiating skills and the ability to identify work priorities and function with very little supervision.

 

2.    Electrical Design Engineer – Land Development

 

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification in a relevant subject from accredited institution and Five (5) or more years of relevant experience in Electrical Engineering, some of which must be related to Land Development projects with a PE a plus. He/ she should be familiar with design of electrical networks, specification and installation of electrical equipments and Power System and also has a clear understanding of Electrical Regulations and other legal guidelines, budget handling & organizational skills. Possess excellent communication & negotiating skills and the ability to identify work priorities and function with very little supervision.

 

3.    Quantity Surveyor

 

A degree/ diploma or an equivalent qualification in a relevant subject such as civil or structural engineering, construction or surveying, quantity surveying. Have Seven (7) or more years of experience in planning, development & management of construction projects some of which must be related to land development. He/ she should be familiar with construction methods & materials and, He/ she has budget handling & good organizational skills, excellent communication and negotiating skills, and ability to work as part of a team.

Job description:

 

Main role as a Civil Engineer – Land Development is to support the supervision of the different activities of construction projects. The incumbent will provide assistance in technical review, monitoring and implementation of the project activities,perform relevant design and engineering work associated with construction activities and maintain close liaison with the contractors/ consultants to provide guidance throughout overall project implementation process. Support on specific inputs related to the project activities and maintenance.

 

The specific Terms of Reference (TORs) not limited to, are as follows:-

 

·         Provide technical design of electrical engineering projects from planning through completion.

·         Design and oversees new construction projects, repair or rebuild existing infrastructure that has been damagedincluding roadway, grading, underground utilities, erosion & sediment control and storm water management with structure & hydraulic design, an advantage;

·         Evaluate construction against drawing recording and reporting any deviation or change to agreed design;

·         Accepted engineering practices and standards and monitors work for compliance to applicable codes;

·         Carrying out project feasibility studies to estimate materials, time and labour costs and budget development& monitoring;

·         Review tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities;

·         Negotiating and drawing up bids for tenders and contracts

·         Monitoring each stage of construction to make sure that costs are in line with forecasts

·         Advising on procurement strategy;

·         Valuing completed work and payments;

·         Supports project estimates, detailed design activities and engineering calculations,

·         Review of construction deliverables like cable tray layouts, sub-station layout, lighting layouts, cable schedules, panel schedules, installation details etc.

·         Support development of electrical layouts, sub-station design, Procurement packages for electrical distribution equipment.

·         Supports field engineering team during construction and commissioning phases.

·         Performs other duties as assigned.

QUANTITY SURVEYOR

 

Qualifications:

Job description:

 

The main assignment of Quantity Surveyor is to support the supervision of the different activities of construction projects. The incumbent will provide assistance in monitoring and implementation of the project activities and maintain close liaison with the contractors/ consultants throughout overall project implementation process.

 

The specific Terms of Reference (TORs) not limited to, are as follows:-

 

·         Monitoring each stage of construction to make sure that costs are in line with forecasts

·         To be aware of all materials brought to certified laydown areas and monitor that storage is managed in line with material types and requirement of the construction;

·         Monitoring quality of materials and workmanship;

·         Negotiating and drawing up bids for tenders and contracts

·         Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the design engineer and/or the client;

·         Undertaking costs analysis for repair and maintenance project work;

·         Preparing and analyzing castings for tenders;

·         Allocating work to subcontractors;

·         Providing advice on contractual claims;

·         Analyzing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports;

·         Providing financial progress reports to supervisor;

·         Valuing completed work and payments;

·         Perform other related duties as required
